Stereo in a Corvette

u are doing sum thing wrong i have a 98 corvette with stock front speakers and alpine type s for rear speakers and i have a flowmaster exhaust with an x pipe not even amped and they dont distort and are very loud

just dont let anything below 80 hz play on the mids and it should be just fine.

ive got them set at 100 to 125 to be extra safe and im still having issue

Then whatever crossover method you're using isnt working. Replace.

its 880prs to PDX 4.150 to speakers am im replacing the entire speaker setup

i think u shud give JL 10" a chance.

My buddy has it in his corvette in College Station in a stealth box--takes just lil space and u cant even notice he has it and its totally worth it.

Definantly something wrong with install, what settings do you have on your headunit? And what is your crossovers at on the amp? Have it on HPF right?

And im i understanding that you have your sub hooked to the same amp?

Those stealthboxes are ok...ive never heard anyone complain about them. Just dont expect them to do 150 db or anything.

What about an active 3-way set? That should get loud enough for ya. Some custom door panels and viola!
