Stereo for my titan?

Looking at putting a little system together for my titan. Not going to competition or anything of the sort, just want something to listen to.

Thinking of

Alpine 9857 + h701 or Pioneer 880 or 980 for the head unit.

As far as speakers not sure what I really wanna do as far as brand/model. Thinking just a component system up front, and no rear fill or just stock for rear fill. 6.5 Components for the front would be needed I think for my truck.

Subwoofer, thinking just a single 12 under the rear seat(have a king cab btw, not crew). Like I said I want something that sounds good, could be turned up loud and whatnot, but not worried about trying to win any comps.

What I listen to, if it really matters- mostly rock, and some rap.

Thanks for the help guys. As far as budget, I'd like to not end up dropping a lot of cash, but I don't want to sacrafice too much quality to save a buck either. So I guess a middle of the line system is what I'm going for.

Another Nissan guy!! Any of those HU's will do a fine job. Personally, I would get the Alpine, if for no other reason than they have one of the best iPod interfaces on the planet! That may not be important to you though, so take it for what it's worth. I have a 6.5" component set in the doors of my Fronty running off my PA amp, and stock speakers in the back running off HU power and the staging is great! As for subwoofers, go to http://www.supercrewsound.com . They have custom fit boxes for your truck that tuck under the back seats. I would also go with 10's instead of 12's due to the fact that you're gonna be hard pressed to find a good 12 that is shallow enough to fit. The box only has 5 5/8" for mounting depth. A good sub for that box, (and hopefully I don't get flamed for recommending these) would be the Elemental Designs 11kv series. Decent prices, good warranty, and they will work well in the small airspace of .75 cubic feet per sub. If you could get a small spacer made, you could also put in the AA assassin 10's. Those will also work well in that box, and are a great SQ sub. Hope all this helps!

I can comment on sub setup if you want something loud and clean....not that you have to get these subs, but a I know a guy running 2 JL 10w3v3's with a 500/1 amp in his Titan. The box is sealed under the rear seat, with the subs downfiring into the floor. Sounds awesome, the lows are there and so is the output with them firing down. 2 10's might be easier than a single 12 based on the way the space under that seat is stretched out.
