Stereo Dims/Shuts off While on Battery (engine not running)

Hi I have an issue in my Jeep where my stereo will dim and shut off as I turn the volume up while it's running on the battery. I've looked this up over and over and cannot find an answer to my particular problem. I know my battery is fine and that's not the problem and I can turn it up as loud as I want with the engine is running. The interior lights don't flicker or dim at all but the stereo will. Sometimes the battery gauge will drop to 0 and the "Check Gauges" warning light will come on but this is when there's heavy bass and I have my subs slamming and it is no surprise that the battery will drop for a moment. I couldn't tell you if the Jeep had this problem with the factory stereo because it was junk and didn't pick up any signal at all to listen to music. The dimming get's worse and the stereo shuts off at lower volume when the bass is set higher and the speakers distort like crazy therefore it's probably a problem where the stereo does not have enough power to put out to the speakers. The stereo had this problem before my subs and amps so it's not a problem with gains or anything of that nature. Lastly all wire connections look to be fine. Sorry for making you read this long post and I would love it if someone could help put an end to this **** problem.

check the power connections, especially the ground. if everythings ok. install a relay to the power of the radio for stronger voltage directly to radio.

I'm using a plug adapter for the stereo and if I remember correctly the ground is integrated into the harness. Could that be a potential issue?

Definitely sounds like a bad ground. I can definitely see a factory ground being the culprit. Try adding a secondary ground. In the past i have actually ran the ground from the headunit out to the battery

I'll have to try disconnecting the ground wire from the plug and attaching it to a ground point elsewhere.
