1. Purchase charcoal

2. Assemble charcoal in grill in tall pile, not spread out

3. Douse in lighter fluid and light

4. Wait till burns down to white ash

5. Add whatever food you wish

To all the homemakers and cockfaces out there who think gas grilling is the same: it doesn't compare.

Must use real lump charcoal too, screw briquets.

Being a butcher, I know such things.

i sell propane and propane accessories.

I've had both...charcoal certainly gives a distinct flavor which gas lacks. Charcoal adds i guess i'd say a little smokey flavor too it.

To each his own.

Naw man, it's mesquite or apple, or go home. Just grilled some pineapple and chicken with some mesquite chips...MMMM

Yeah we've got a gas grill as well, but I had to break out the ol' weber.

This is true, but lump charcoal burns so **** fast, it gets quite expensive after awhile. I find royal oak to be the best for chicken and ribs, but you cannot come close to kingsford for burgers and steaks.
