in the description it says "or 4S compatible CD/MP3 Receiver." what does that mean and will it work with my panasonic hu? i have the CQC7401U.

usually depend on if the headunit has a aux remote in.

i have headunit specific SWC. and i have universal SWC.

the headunit specific SWC interfaces work allot better.

never used soundgate ( or i should say, not had the best of luck) i know pac makes one that will work with any radio with a remote (if all else fails) but it does require mounting an eye, and a good bit of programming but it has worked well for me in the past.

that sounds like a universial SWC interface.. basicly the eye has to be in the view of the cd player and basicly repete's the remote when pressing the steering wheel controls.

the headunit specific ones i sale mad by Peripheral work AWSOME!

they plug right inot the deck 3 wire's you hook up simple programing and bam done.. great product!
