Steering wheel adapter install help

Hello, I searched (quickly, so if I missed it I apologize) for something regarding the actual install of one of these (Peripheral PESWIPS) but couldn't find anything. I just have a general, probably noob question. It says to attach the green wire from the adapter to a Pin on the factory connector, and a 12V to another Pin on the factory connector. When it says connect it to the pins, is it simply saying to splice the wire from the adapter into the factory wire coming out of those pin numbers on the factory connectors? That's what I'm getting out of it, but before I hack into my wires I wanted to make sure. Thanks.

Awesome, thanks. Why the dislike for the PESWIPS? I've never used one before, so just curious.

programming them can be a pain. you'll know what I mean when you get to it lol.
