like i said , id be unloading a truck or two twice a week. its not like im busting my *** doing construction work so they wont be beat to shit. i just want something i can be comfortable in the other days im not doing trucks.

so i need some steel toe shoes for work now since im going to be unloading trucks at work. i just cant stand the feel of high tops so im looking at the lows. ill only be doing trucks two days of the week , so i wont need much support on my ankles , if any at all. i know they get pretty ****ing expensive , but i dont need all the high tech-ness on my feet. i was looking at these - http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_06786321000P but theyre out of stock and the store doesnt carry them for some reason. we do have these in store and i tried them on and theyre pretty comfortable - http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_06782304000P
any other brands i should look into?

Don't cheap out on steel toes ... You'll hate yourself after a week ...

yeah if you cheap out you may find the steel toe piece cutting/rubbing in/on your foot. I think I paid $150 for my Redwings and they were worth every penny (10 hour days) but its nice to get out of any boot, I usually took em off on the way home //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Also working nights ftw, always a nice drive home at 430am (that was last summer though)

go to walmart and buy the steel toe tennis shoes. they are like 20 bucks, last like 7-8 months and i wore them 6 days a week.

I have a pair of high top Dickies. I can't imagine them being best quality boots ever, but they were a good buy at like $40 when I got them. I've been wearing them for 3 weeks and I find them sufficient in comfortableness most days.

I would highly advise against anything like Wal-Mart boots. Take care of your feet and you'll be a much happier person at work.

I'd still try and hit up a sale at Sears or the local boot store rather than deal with Wal Mart boots.
