Hey guys, I just wired in my sub / amp and now I get static thru my speakers. The static is a constant hum type noise. When I listen to a CD or the radio there is no static, but when I listen to my satellite radio there is static. The static gets louder as I turn up the volume. The amp is grounded to the chasis of my truck and the Satellite radio is grounded to the default ground on my CD player. Any suggestions?
Ok so I played with the set up some more. It actually does do the static humm all the time, obviously the louder you turn up the volume the louder the static gets. The sub makes a humm noise also but it isn't the same it's alot deeper and you can see the face flapping. (i'm assuming i'm getting distortion from something) when i turn the volume on my deck down all the way the sub makes a click noise as if it's shutting down adn then it just starts humming again. If i disconnect the amp to my sub the static humm stops all together (so this eliminates my cd player as the cause) I just re did my ground thinking maybe it was lose but it did nothing. anyone have any suggestions?
