Static Sound

Well I just recently put my Rockford T2000 back in. I took it out for a while due to alot of car's being broken into around here lately. Well I put it back in today and it plays fine for a few minutes then after a couple minutes static start's coming from the subs. The ground seem's to be good, all the other connections on the amp's are good so I don't know what it could be besides maybe a bad set of RCA's. What do you guys' think?

Well I've been outside messing with it for a while now. I decided to take the night off from work to see if I could get it straightended out. I pulled the RCA's out while it was making the static sound and it continued to do it so that made me think it was something in the amp or either the speaker's. So I broke out the DMM and tested everything just to make sure it was ok. Speakers are reading 2ohm's a piece and 1ohm when loaded on the amp. The voltage is steady at 14.03 at the amp. I decided instead of using both speaker terminal's to just wire all the positives together and all the negatives and try it like that and when I did that my low end was back like it was at least at low volumes. My landlord is home right now so I can't really turn it up. I'll let you guy's know what happen's when I take it out later on and turn it up. Any idea's or other suggestions in case this doesn't work (besides new RCA's since I'm going to take care of that tomorrow anyways).

im having a very similar problem, did you ever find anything out?

were you saying it seems to effect your low end? if pulling the rcas out didnt make a dif, its probably an amp problem (at least im sure thats my problem).
