Static/Alternator whine

How exactly do you ground RCA's? Where does the ground wire attach to? The RCA only has two ends, one for HU one for amp.. and there is no other point to connect ground wire too.. I mean for HU's like the Pioneers that have grounding problems.. he said something bout wrapping ground wire around it, but still, the wires are covered in plastic how would that do anything..

there is a lets say inner and outer portion of th rca's. the inner, with the nipple comes out and the outter where you can wrap the wire around... with no problem..

search and you will get what i am trying to say..

could the remote wire running next to the RCAs have the engine whine effect? or am i finding another source of the problem
