Starting to have regrets

I just ordered a DEH-P770MP the other day and after reading some posts on this board it looks like a lot people prefer the 860.

Any guys out there that like the 770?

How different is it going to be compared to the DEH-P6400 I'm replacing it with? Specifically the user controls and menus, etc.

well if you were willing to spend another $100 or so, the 860 is obviously a step up. It has higher pre-out voltages and a 13 band equalizer, which is an awesome feature imo.

Although I have no experience wither either deck, I was going to get the 770mp, but decided to wait and find a good deal on an 860mp.

but personally, i think the 770mp looks a shitload cooler, and being able to control everything with 1 knob is very convenient. If your not concerned with slightly higher pre-outs and big equalizers, I think you'll be plenty happy with that unit.

haven't used either but i'd just buy the 770 for money and looks

I just installed on in an "85 F-250. Pretty cool little deck. Three sets of preouts, and the EQ is pretty good at shaping the sound. It's also pretty simple to use, which is a plus for some of my customers. One of the screen savers is a voltage meter. Which is WICKED cool in my oppinion.

Installed it in my g/f's car. Very nice deck, looks, sound, and ease of use. And of course the price. Very nice deck. I honestly wouldn't get the 860 cause its not that much more than the 770. Only 18db/oct on the lpf. If I was gonna go higher, I would get the alpine 9835 or the eclipse cd8455. My opinion right there.
