Starting an annual car competition for Homecoming?

Every year for Homecoming (UAPB) people fix, paint, style, and upgrade their audio systems to show off their rides. Well I would like to do something about it. I would like to see if it is possible to get a sanctioned annual car show for Homecoming.? I mean real judges, contestants, and scores. Is this possible? I just figure people spend money to upgrade their rides, so why not give an outlet for them. Especially with Homecoming being the biggest event yearly for the city? If you can help out please help me out.

Gotta find out what orgs are in your area and contact the judges. DbDrag, IASCA, USACI or whatever else might be in your area....
