I found some nice subs already in the box 3 10 inch MTX in the enclosed box.. will this boom pretty loud for some starter subs with a good amp?

Eh, I am pretty sure those are one of MTX lowest models. MTX is a DECENT company but I wouldn't trust their low-end model stuff. Then again, I know VERY little about car audio but am learning more every day.

check out http://www.reaudio.com and the RE line of subs. cheap subs, and from what i hear they are good. i wish i could have hooked mine up. all i can do is gaze.

Yeah, i was just trying to find something enclosed or something that was already in the box. Because i can't build my own box and not good at wireing series etc...

those mtx deals are pretty good if ur just lookin for a lil bass. Everyone on here will preach up and down about things they've never heard so be careful as to who you listen too. Another company that does enclosed subs is alphasonik, i dont know how cheap they are but they sound pretty good.

For a starter sub system......that MTX box will work great. I cant stand when people recommend stuff that the person posting isnt even asking about. Usually its the CURRENT HOT electronics. No telling what will be recommended next month. Anyhow, for $150 a three sub system with a box from a well know company that handles 500watts is a steal in my book. most people recommend items because they find them superiour for the price. I have nothing against mtx but I would look at reaudio re and se series subs. The se series is a good sub, not a good "starter sub". For around $170 for the se and getting someone to build you a box you could expect great spl and sq that might satisfy your desires that a "starter" sub wouldn't.

This is just my opinion but I have heard 2 different lines of re subs and will say that I have full respect for the product re produces.

Starter system no. I would keep it simple with 1 or 2 subs only. I would not choose those MTX's because you can find better for that price. And Yes 2 RE12's would be a better choice. Even if you go buy a prefab sealed box they will still be better. Just try to find a sealed box made with at least 5/8 or 3/4 MDF.

I personally would staff away from all of the above, for the money much better can be found. The amp is ok but sub wise much better can be done.

I'd look into 2 re12's or a singe SE12 if you can afford it. For the SE you could een get a prefab ported box as long as its proted to around 30-35hz.

I'm not bashing anyone I am just stating the fact I would not buy any of that equipment for the price. If you read my post I actually recommend a couple subs to look at. Everyone has thier own opinions, and I am entitled to mine.

Thanks all for the help... later on when i have about 600 bucks saved up gonna go all out with 2 12 inch SE's and a Hifonic 1500D amp but right now just looking for something to give me alittle bump is all.
