I'm not sure. I know they're getting too busy for the building. I wouldn't be surprised if I set hands on 500-1000 packages in the 2 hours I actually worked last night. The old-*** training videos took up some time. I'm more interested in how my pieces per hour ended up. I know I have to top 350/hour steadily by the end of my evaluation period. I'm hoping for at least 200 from last night, but I don't know. I think being on my hometown truck and knowing pretty much all of the towns already will help.small world ... i load the steven's point trailer most nights ... haha.
y'all got a CRAZY busy hub ... what's your #'s like, i've heard 30k go through your little building any given night. we do 5-6k, 7-8k in peak.
Yeah man, they stuck me on a trailer by myself today that was overflowing with boxes. I seriously had to climb a mountain of packages just to get in and start loading. On my second day lol. My supervisors seem to like me though. I just need to get the hang of building the loads nice and tight. Maybe I should start playing Tetris againyeah ... i do about double your required PPH, since we run ~5 pullers, 2 unloaders, 2 auditors, and 3 loaders ... i load a trailer by myself in bout ~45 mins. i usually have 1800-2200 in my scanner at the end of the night.
we're WAY overworked ... but we don't get out 3 1/2 otherwise.
it's a good job man, stick with it.
UPS drivers start at $21.50, 90 safe workdays it's bumped a dollar ... i know 30+ yr feeder drivers at ~50 yrs old making 37-38/hr with 50-55 hrs a week.****,ups drivers make nothing, hell a temp carrier at the post office makes like 19.00 an hour
yeah i was hanging off the back of a trailer loading ... we busted out by 15%, could MAYBE have made it but ...Yeah man, they stuck me on a trailer by myself today that was overflowing with boxes. I guess we did 36,000 packages last night, and I'm pretty sure we were a good bit busier today.
LOLOLOLOL i worked there back a few years ago unload'n trucks... the f uk heds i worked with didnt care about the work fragile.... they would play games like, guess what it sonuds like when i drop it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gifThey don't call them throwers for nothing. Really the only thing that gets tossed around are the bags of small packages that get thrown on top of the piles.
