Detroit outplayed Pittsburgh for 5 of 6 periods and lost it on a stupid penalty. The 3rd period was absolutely atrocious for the Pens, except for the last minute where they pulled out the tying goal w/ the extra attacker. We were at the bar and we were counting the minutes before they even got their first fvcking shot on goal in the 3rd, it was that bad.
I thought the game was well-refereed. You run into the goalie, you get a penalty. There were several times when they ran into Fleury and didn't even call it.

Anyways, bring on Game 6.
What about the Pens running into Ozzie, it happened yet no call. The league is biased, Bettman as well as everyone else in the ranks wants the Pens, its obvious by the 2 BS interference calls and the no calls on the Pens in the third and OT, wings should have had at least 3 PP chances in OT, but no calls were made. Anyway, Wings wrap it in game 6 in Pittsburgh.

Well.... wow what a game.. Wings thought they had it in the bag, but then got a bit too lacsidasical (failed clear attempt by Franzen which inevitably cost them the lead)

What am I glad about?? CRYSBY DID NOT SCORE THE WINNER.......

...and the goalie interference penalties.... I mean c'mon, we cant even go to the net anymore?

Pittsburgh is doing a good job of taking the center of the ice away infront of Fleury.. All shots are forced to come from a poor angle in hopes of a rebound.

This game was a typical "we have everyhing to lose" vs "we have nothing to lose"

Well of course it is!

The more games played the more money they make!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Go Wings!

When Talbot tied the game in the last minute of regulation I got this really sick feeling in my stomach. It was the same feeling I got when Anaheim scored a lucky goal past Hasek in the last minute of regulation in the Western Finals last year. It's like I knew Pitt wold score a cheap one or something like a big penalty would lose it.

They better come out flying in game 6 or otherwise this series belongs to anyone.

Does anyone else find it funny that all of a sudden ESPN wants to plaster Stanley Cup coverage all over the place? Between Sportscenter, Around the Horn, PTI, ESPN.com, they're whoring out the finals, yet they didn't want to touch the playoffs, or the NHL regular season.

LOL I recognized that too. But I say fck it, if they wanna pick it back up next year let them, it'll just get more people into it.

Personally Savage im a Blackhawks fan but I'd rather see Detroit win it because they've had one hell of a year and I don't buy into Fleury's record this year.

And did you hear about the Red Wings vs. Blackhawk game there planning outdoors at Wrigley Field field next year?!?!? Best believe I WILL BE GOING TO THAT!

Its because there is a break in the basketball playoffs. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I know the Rangers are trying to get an outdoor game at Yankee Stadium.

They had been asking to play there in the past, but the Yanks didn't want them ruining the field. I've heard they agreed to let them play one next season though, since the Yankees are moving into a new stadium after this season.

It'd be a great game for the NHL- I've heard they'll probably do an original 6 matchup if it happens- Rangers vs. Bruins would be nice.

Meh, basketball is for gays.

There have been several reports that state the NHL actually had better attendance then the NBA this season (although attendance numbers are rarely ever on point).

I can actually believe that. I love watching hockey live, though sadly I have never been to a pro game. Lots of UNO college and Lancers junior hockey back home though. But for some reason I cant get into on tv.
