Stacking fuses to achive higher amp rating

I have a Knukonceptz Konfused 3 Way fused distribution block. The only problem is it only accepts mini ANL fuses, and I can't find those fuses any bigger than 150 amp. Would it be ok to stack 2 fuses with washers between the two to equal a 300 amp fuse?

Yes, the Mini-ANL max out at 150A. You can stack two together to make 300A fuses though. You will need some spacers and a longer screw

i always thought current would take the path of least resistance 2 150amp fuses it would be split between them.

I was going to say that it should work fine, although stacking two fuses like that will probably cause a "kink" in your charging system and your voltage may suffer a little since you'll have an extra metal-metal connection to go through with the added fuse.

If they have slightly different tolerances (which they will), then one fuse will blow at 150A, and then the current will continue to run through the other fuse and blow it at 150A.

Honestly, just break down and get a different dist block that will accept the fuses you need...cheaper than the alternative IMHO.

yes stacking them will split amperage

150x2 stacked will be a 300 amp fuse

probably be less resistave than a single 300a fuse because of more conductive mass at the connection points

you wont notice it though
