Stacking alpine PDX amps

I wanna stack my two alpine PDX amps. I the instruction manual it says that if stack the amps vertically that it will void the warrenty. While I don't have to worry about a warrenty anymore. I am worried if mounting them vertically actually will hurt the amps or cause any issues. Anyone have any input on this.
