SSi vs MAG vs Sx

Hello all,

Just trying to figure out which out of the group would have the highest spl. 2 12" treo ssi's w/ 1500wrms amp or 15" SI Mag w/ crossfire vr1000d or 15" RE Sx w/ crossfire vr1000d? I know the Mag will sound better looking for opinions on which would be louder. One of these will be in a 98' Eclipse Gst Hatchback. Thanks for your input.

2 12's vs 1 15 id go with the 12 treo's

2 12's vs 2 12 mags id go with the mags.

if you want to get loud with those ssi 12"s, you better have 1000+ watts per woofer.

Not trying to buy two mags there expensive!!! I already have 2 treo ssi but it will take quite a bit of money to get my electrical to handle 1500 + watts. Everyone says to run at least 2000 watts rms to the treos but my car only has a 90A alternator, and ho alts are expensive, more than the amp I want a crossfire vr-2000d! Keep the opinions coming always looking for more advice.

What do you know about a xstatic batcap 800 would this help prevent having to buy a ho alternator? Or would it just be a really big bandaid for 2000 watts?

Oh yeah let me add two 12" Rl-p's to the mix

I'd do the RL-P's. 2 RL-P's would be a bit more than 1 mag, but are probably worth the difference. Plus that's 2 subs you can actually afford to power!

2 rlps are not that bad at all on price. i don't want to have to buy an ho alternator and a new battery and do the big 3 run 2 4 gauges to the amp, etc. Thats a good $500-600 on my car. I guess i will have to go with the ssi's I got them really cheap so I can spend some money on the rest of the equipment.

yeah, 2 RL-ps are fairly budget friendly, and much more effecient than your treo's. Plus I don't know how much room you have in that hatch, but RL-P's like smaller boxes.

i dont know if a 90a alt id gona be well enough to power some serious subs..or at least power subs to there potential especially in the winter time..headlights,heat,wipers...i dont know man..if i where id just save up untill i can get the right equipment..

Anyone know if there is a group buy going on right now? I heard he will give a discount 1% for everyperson up to 30 that want an alt. up to %30 off! See what I mean about the price I have had cars that are easy to upgrade the alternator such as an explorer will accept a f350 alternator. Anyone have the conversion for amps needed for a crossfire vr-2000d, I could not find it on the website?

the Dual RL-p is a good idea, also consider the SI BM's that just came out too

For the ~$500 you would spend on new subs, you could easily upgrade your electrical system.

Yeah, the BM's might be something to look into. I have a RL-p BM test pending. Hopefully have results in a week or two.

my crossfire isnt too bad at 2 ohms, but drop it to 1 ohm like i run it, and it can **** some current.
