I have to agree that that is alot of power for icons, I do think the sx would have an issue with that amount of power too, i ran 2kw each to my 12s when i had them and they got hot in a 3-5 second burp.

Any particular reason why you insist on putting too much power on subs?

well i had a death row 15" off a sundown 1500 in her car and she loved it for a while as a daily, and now i got her two hifonics 1606's and they are benched at 14.4 doing 1560 give or take to each, so 1600 isn;t really reality in this situation, more so a safe margin. im think the bl's with bp would probably be my best bet though

I ran 2 SSA icon 15"s off a zx2500. I think that might ahve been a little to much on them for daily use they both blew =(

They can handle that power, plenty of people are running them at that general range. We don't suggest over 1000, but people do it. Also, I could have sworn you only blew one, and was selling the other? I still am not clear as to what happened on yours.
