SSA ICON 12" Black Friday Deal! $239.99

those slashes prices on any site during a sale is almost never true.
It is true for SSA always, as we only enter the sale pricing.  No need to jack up the MAP price for giggles.  Many items have MSRP and MAP listed, then we can show the sale price too in red.  That is due to having a dealer network that is supposed to stay between MAP and MSRP.  (just some info as to why pricing is listed)

As long as you are smart on the gains and not too much port area.  That is pushing the upper limits of their power range.  Is that before displacement?
Edit:

After displacement 4.2-4.25^3ft.

So it is about 15.6 in2 per Cubic ft of port and it is an Ampere AA-3800 running them at about .5ohm.

That is a pinch on the larger side both box (which is easier to shrink that increase) and port area, but again I think you will be good, just keep an eye on the gains. :)

Thanks.  I mostly baby my gains honestly...just don't have time and money to wear stuff out or break it fast...

But I have a question too just for my own understanding.  From what you're seeing that I listed and from what you are stating with the above..is it more to caution against reaching/exceeding the mechanical limit vs applied power?  Hopefully I understand, so does this mean more along the lines the closer I approach their power limit the less box/port volume would be better in that regard?  Thank you.

Yes, it is more about mechanical than thermal.  Meaning people are forever putting subs in the wrong box and then blaming the sub for any issue.  So if there is too big of a box volume or too big of port area, and you crank the volume knob up, there is a high chance of problems.
