ssa dcon threatcon or tantric?

Which do yout think will perform best in a ported box of about 4.5 cubic ft?(not sure on tunning) Ssa dcon or threat-con 2. 12 in woofers. And also does tantric make a sub in this price cagotery. And amp not decided untill subs.

tantric has the MD series and for SSA, you'd want to step it up to the Gcon series. Dcon is outclassed in this case because they are not in the same league. Threatcon is the cheapest option out if the 3 and sounds great.

If you prefer tantric, @mylows10 ; can hook you up with a pair.

lets say a single threatcon 12 in a 1 cubic foot sealed box outperformed an alpine type R in a 1.7 cubic foot box, both on a bxi 1610d at 2 ohms. My current pair of threatcon 15s are moving decent amounts of air. My zcon 12 got hella loud in SSA's optimal box and sounded good too. Cant say anything about Tantric since i've never owned one but i've heard nothing but good from them. Can't go wrong with any of these choices really.

i have ran tantric and the threatcon2. the threatcon was good nothing much bad to say except the motor shifted for no apparent reason. this was a fairly common issue i believe i know of 3 or so instances were they're motors have shifted. if the tantric md is anything like the beast they call HDD i wouldn't hesitate to get it. i agree with Jeff on the ssa sub move up to the gcon if ur looking at them. all are very nice choices and in the proper box all will impress and scratch the basshead itch.

V2 Threatcon 2's are en route (60 days out, maybe sooner) and motor shifting issue is said to be resolved. I've used Threatcon 2's in 12 and 15, the Threatcon 4 12, and now am running 2 C2 Audio Team 1ks. Haven't messed with tantric or SSA woofers but you would be happy with Threatcon woofers. They get loud and sound great doing it.

the Tantric MD is a superb sub. HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLA efficient. Throw it on anywhere from 500 rms up to 1.2k and it will get loud and wang all day.

As with all Tantric subs, it's built with music in mind. Daily first subwoofers here that get loud while doing so

Haven't experienced a SSA Gcon but I've heard an Xcon and the output wasn't a slouch

Never experienced or heard any C2 subs, but for the people running them, they seem to be pleased for the most part
