I recently bought a Soundstream Edge EGA 4160

Works great.

The Picasso line is now the Edge line ... However, it looks like they've scrapped the class D monoblocks for some reason ...

why did they change it?

 

and I never got to hear or try a 1700D, lots of power per dollar supposedly

Actually the D Class models still in production, i am looking at a Soundstream booklet and it's called the EGA 900D etc.
