Squezing 3 18's - Diamond port?? 4th Order?

Trying to think of a way to squeeze 3 18' HDC3's into my ride, and have them sound good in a daily box on rock music, but still get stupid loud.....

Im going to do a wall behind the first row but cant think of how to efficiently squeeze 3 18's into my fairly small area. Problem is I only have 52" width from door panel to door panel, so I cant just line all 3 18's in a row behind me with a port ontop or below they have to be staggerred or something. I was thinking of either doing a diamond port box, or a 4th order box if the numbers dont work to somehow fit the port and subs all on one baffle

Unless someone else has any ideas. Ive got a max of 31" height, 52" width for the first section of the box and whatever depth needed for airspace......

A diamond style port Ive seen on some bigger builds but have never actually heard would fit... but do these boxes sound good? Just having the subs firing into the port...

And well, 4th orders seem fairly common, but do they sound good on rock music??? And would AQ's sound any good with there weird tuning needs

I dont have a "small" space, i have 30+ cubes. I just dont have the width of an explorer or a tahoe that can do the 3 18's side by side. I need to think of another way to lay them out, but still keep everything forward firing. Vehicle is a 01 Pathfinder. Walled behind the front seats Ive got 52" MAYBE 53" door panel to door panel. But the HDC3's are 18.5" OD

well if you only have a height of 31" then you cant do two on bottom one on top either. Sounds like you might have to come up with a new plan.

well it might fit if you space the bottom two out as far as you can then put the other in the center.

ok this is just made up real fast but you get the idea..

Well yeah problem is I dont have a modelling program or anything to tell me if I can those 3 18's on that baffle, the numbers are a tad hard to crunch

Im not set on a slot port. Im all for a 4th order, diamond port, maybe a folded baffle or something.

Just looking for ideas. Im not afraid of fiberglass either

Get you a sheet of cardboard and cut it to fit. Once you have it the shape and size it needs to be (same size front baffle will be) then you can draw out different layouts of subs and port.

Diamond port like this, but since I only have 3 subs I wouldnt turn it. so it would look like a square, 2 subs on the sides, and one on bottom

Something like this

A 19" X 19" port would give me 380" of port, and if I made the box 191ish cubes before displacements that would probly work out pretty well

But I dont know a single thing about this type of box design and if tuning would be the same or any cancelation issues would incur on music.....

I just want this bish to slam and sound good doin it
