Squeeling noise when start car

Whever I start my car, sounds like my belt is making a squeeling noise for about 1 second or so... Not sure what it is, but it does it every morning, not every time I start the car though, just after it sits for a while. What could this be and should I get it fixed? I just don't want any harm done

ure starter is going out.... that is what it was on my old GTP everytime i started my car i got a scraping squealing sound.... replaced the starter and never heard it again.... try that out

How much is a starter? It only started after my alarm was installed.

what kinda car cuz i know this happened with my rodeo and it had nothin to do with any belt.

not sure it depends on the car.... and it might not even have anything to do with ure alarm being installed and u only noticed it after that was done... maybe they put somthing back wrong who knows.... welcome to the wonderful world of troubleshooting LAWL hope u figure it out... but IMO its ure starter almost for sure..

explain the sound mine sounded like the sound a car makes when u turn the key over when the car is already started. if that is the sound.... it is ure starter

ill ask my pops later to see what the part was. what you describe is exactly what was happening with mine so it may be the same thing.

Make sure all your belts are tight.
