SQL Question - H2 vs SX?

Either would be a 15 and running off a 1200d Orion.

I was originally going to spend the money and get the XXX but it needs too much power. I've talked to a couple people and they've said that the 2000rms on the H2 is horseshit, basically, and that it does very well on the Orion 1200d at about half of it's max handling

Opinions on this, please?

well i dont think the sx's are really made to sound good, so id probably say the h2. but ive never used either so i probably dont count

Get the XXX anyway, because with 1200rms it will still sound better than the H2 and the SX IMO.

I have a 15 inch SX and it sounds nice with 1krms ive never worked with the H2's, i heard they work good in sealed enclosures? not sure though. I like the sx, but like i said have never heard the h2's.

My XXX 15" sounded great sealed off of 1300w. Haven't heard any H2's tho.

Yeah, I was told that a XXX15 needs every bit of 1500w though, thus the reason I'm somewhat curious as to whether or not it's worth doing it

H2 says 2,000 RMS but I've been told that it's bull, it's closer to 1200-1250 and that hte 1200d would be perfect for it

i'm an installer for a car audio shop, i've worked with teh xxx and the H2 at the shop, and without a huge speech, xxx > h2

Never heard an H2, Id go with mikes opinion, first hand experience beats forum theories... Id love to hook my xxx to 2k watts and see what she has to say about it, but for the most part im really satisfied with the output and sq it puts out with what ive got (nine.1)
