What kind of power / RMS can you feed the subs?

For a little more theres plenty others out there.

Check into:

SoundSplinter RL-p

Ficaraudio.com Q

Stereo Integrity Mag (a little out of your price range however)

Kicker CVX

Massive Audio CW 12

Phoenix Gold Xenon

Go for the Kappa Perfect 12.1s. I had a pair, but I just couldn't work them into my project so I sent 'em back. They looked incredibly nice and I really wish I could've used them, I just bought them on impulse and didn't really have the space. I've heard a single KP 12.1 from a guy at school, he was giving it 400w I think and it sounded great and pounded pretty hard.

You might want to wait and see what Ascendant Audio has up their sleeve with the new Assassin line coming out soon. I know the old 12"s were $90 a piece, which would come out to be the same as the KP 12.1s, and let me tell you my little 8"s wang pretty hard for such small speakers. Great customer support too n_n

what amp would you recomend for these then? I the power acousik puts out way more power than these subs are recomended so i figured it would be fine after imprise and whatever else. What do you mean about crappy power?

I'd guess the PA puts out around 80% of what they advertise. As far as raw power, they are OK. My problem is they seem more susceptible to engine noise then some other brands and many other brands are actually underrated on power. It's just hard imo to compare advertised power ratings. With that said, PA can get the job done. Just don't think you save much when you have to buy a "higher rated" amp to do the same thing and depending on the install you may stuck buying a filter on top of that.

I've had good experiences with Alpine, RF and MTX.

TBH, I wouldn't spend the extra $$$ money on Alpine, RF, or MTX. Go for a lesser known brand like Hifonics. A BXi 1206D would give those things plenty of power and is only $250 at OCS. I know it's getting my Assassins wanging pretty hard ^_^

k thanks.. ive decided on the infinity kappa perfect 12.1, the question now is: Do i put them in the same sealed box? or have them in their own boxes?

It doesn't matter, so long as they get the recommended space. I'd suggest one box with two chambers though, so if one goes out, the other one won't be using the entire box all to itself.
