Im wanting to upgrade/re-do my current system (see sig), and need some help.

For subs im wanting to do 2-3 8's (possibly 4 depending on price), as far as budget i'm wanting to stay under $250 shipped.

my total space is around 2-3 cubes, whether or not I go ported or sealed is dependant on the subs i choose.

I have an orion 1200d and will use this as my sub amp (1200x1 @ 1 ohm, 725x1 @ 2 ohms, 400x1@ 4 ohms, all under rated).

vehicle is a 97 chevy ex. cab silverado, will be in a console install between buckets (where else lol)

Comps, i'll be using the stock location (doors, must fit 6.5" opening) i have an orion 3002 (300x1 @ 1 ohm, 150x2 @ 2 ohms) and i'd like to stay around $150, would go up to $200 MAX if I felt it was worth it.

I listen to a little bit of everything, from rock to rap, country, etc etc.

What im wanting is a system that sounds great, but can wow people with its spl (for 8's of course). Any suggestion/insight/criticism is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!!!!!

Yeah i'd love to run 2 rl-i 8's, kinda pricey though-anything else? I've been looking at diamond d3 8's, never heard them though (had a d6 12, loved the sq but completely diff sub) anyone heard the d3's???

I've heard good things about tang bands 8's, although I have never heard them in person. They are very reasonably priced too.

hi, for the price you can get 4 RockFord P2, Resonant Engeneering RE8, all dual 4 ohm or single 4 ohm from ebay.

for the 6.5 comp's you can get Cadence CWM6, phoenix gold RSD-65CS, Alpine R series, JBL Power series, DLS, infinity kappa, Polk audio DB series

I wanna stay away from rockford (they're VERY popular where I live, and everyone runs them) any insight on the assassins???

i would recommend digital designs 1508 but the are a little pricey too. the crossfire db38 arent bad....i have heard one of them in a car and it packed a good punch while remaining sound quality.....i think they run bout $100.
