SQ vs. SQL vs. SPL

I run an active front stage and haven't ran over 500 watts to a sub in over 4 years...I'd say I'm leaning towards the SQ side of things nowadays. Loudness is irrelevant, and my single 10" sub can easily get louder than I need it to.

SQL gets expensivenbut its worth it. Playing clean and balanced at all volume levels and covering all 8 octaves for me. But still being able to put up decent numbers.

I like SQL. Center image, midbass that can keep up, nice depth, all while putting up 145 on the TL. Anymore than that and you have to really start messing with electrical and it starts getting tough having a frontstage that can keep up while retaining SQ.

I'm a little more towards the SQ side of things now due to space but if the 2 JL 8w7s on 1400wrms don't satisfy me than I'll be adding 8's or going with 10's.

totally dependent on the mood, time of day, type of music, etc...this is why I bought a bass amp with a remote gain adjustment..I like it all.

I'm a SQL guy. Love to crank it loud when some songs come on, but what's the purpose of being loud if it sounds horrible?

SQL I think. I am certainly not spl with 1 10" and 275w to my sub I like sound quality but I want to feel like I am at a concert
