My point is simple...I like LOUD SYSTEMS and I Like SQ.

It is alot easier to make a loud system than an SQ system

I agree, it is sad I have to post this often o explain my point

My God..what is the Next debate gonna be. how about "Which sport requires more athleic skill...GOLF or Football?

essentially the same debate as this one!

If his posts were pointless, then the "don't see the point" is implied and doesn't need stated.....that is the essence of pointless, that it has no point //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

what about a LOUD SQ system

True. Plus..It is Easy to get a Loud System..Anyone can buy a 2000 watt amp and 2 JL subs. SQ requires a great amount of skill, research and experience. The effort that goes into Imaging and combining components for a great sounding system is immense and FUN..Creating an SPL system can be accomplished by a 13 year old kid.I always find it funny when these guys who are into SPL ask questions about AMPS...SUBS..Head units..Etc...It's easy....big watts and big speakers period.
Take my car, and the equipment I have right now, and whip up a box louder than what I have right now. Put our skills up against each other. If it's so easy why have I built countless numbers of boxes and have so many hours in my car and can pull off a high 145 on the NTL. I have a hard time believing a 13 year old kid (such as yourself I take it?) could throw a comp-winning box together like nobody's business.

Uneducated arrogant people ****.

Oh I know Adires have SQ. Not the point..The point is Reaching high DB levels is Cake. Take a freaking amplifier and through home speakers into the bed of your truck.Again..I have no biased eiher way..I just think it's funny that the SPL crew tries to give the impression that they contain some incredible knowledge to be able to squeak out a few more DB's

It's something not alot of people would bring up on this forum..But it's fact..Talk shit all you want, SQ practically requires a college degree. SPL just requires MONEY.

I am sure the "silent" majority on this site see my point..But it's quite fitting that the SPL fans are always the "LOUD" ones..LOL

No offense to anyone..I just think it's funny
Reaching "db levels" isn't a piece of cake. It's not as simple as getting some big woofers, some big amps, and a big box. They still spend endless hours tuning, over and over again trying to get an extra tenth. They do contain knowledge ... more than you apparently know. When you're stuck hitting 145.4db's, you're not going to increase anything until you spend thousands of dollars more trying to buy more equipment to make it louder. That's when the SPL guys will laugh in your face, take a few hours to tweak, tune, brace, strengthen, etc ... plus a whole bunch more little secrets that they've figured out ... and blow by you with a 146.1 ... and costing them next to nothing.

College degree or not, yes, I agree that an SQ install takes a lot of patience and effort. Did I really need to spend all of that money to get a great SQ install? No. I could do it in less than half of that if I wanted to. SPL doesn't just require money. It requires everything an SQ install would require. The ability to tweak and tune plays a key role in both types of set ups.

For every point about SQ, there's a point for SPL. What I'm saying is, if you said "Well in SQ you spend hours trying out different EQ positions and crossover points" ... I say "Well in SPL you have to spend hours trying to see where the woofers are the loudest in the specific vehicle".

And to make it Even..I also would say hat the SPL guys are the tougher crew listening to Westside connection..usually SQ guys are kinda fruity..Classical music and shit!!!LOL

While I'm on it, I'll stoop down and resort to a lower level. I'm an SQ guy and listen to whatever I want to listen to. If that means smashing your head into the ground because you think I'm "fruity" and listen to classical music, then so be it.

This ...
