I have a 350z but limited space in the hatch area. The biggest I can go is 10 inch sub under the strut bar in the hatch. Any recommendations on sq subs that sound similar to the magv4 or have similar characteristics? i want my sub to blend with my front stage and make it sound like my fronts are going real low. I dont want a sub that will shake and rattle my car. eventually having it fall apart //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

oh and budget is up to $350

thanks for all the suggestions, i will look into all of them. trying to find the right mix for my morel tempo front stage. i was dead set on getting the magv4 but only way i can add it would be by getting rid of my spare tire.

anyone know if there is a chance of a 10 inch magv4 in the future? haha

Yea, try one of the 10" XBL^2 subs, should do you well.
if i go with the SDX10, what amp would be recommended for it?? i have been recommended the pioneer prs-d2200t which looks very nice and at around my budget of $250 for an amp. but it says 600rms and the SDX10 is 300 RMS. so not that sure about it.

Haha, thanks for the mention of the older BM 10", but the older BM 10" sounds like poo compared to the Mag v4. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I second (or third, fourth, whatever) the notion of the SDX-10. I don't recommend the DPL 10 because it's built for much larger enclosures...like really big enclosures. You can use a more powerful amp on the SDX, just don't adjust your gain to the point where you're over-driving the sub. You can put a 3000 watt amp on a speaker rated for 100 watts. Just because you have the capability of too much power doesn't mean that you have to use it all.

I gotta warn you though, XBL^2 subs give you zero warning before they bottom out. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif That's one of the only 'drawbacks' to having such a linear motor.

No plans for a 10" Mag v4. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Sorry guys. There may be a BM v2 10" later on, but that's the only 10" size we're toying around with. When the BM v2's come out they'll be available only as 12's. Right now their new 10" spider is being tooled up. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif This will make the only part we haven't tooled for the BM v2 is the basket. We should have Klippel results on it next week with the new carrier and spider installed (fingers crossed).

cool thanks for that info! let me ask you this, what would be your recommend enclosure specs for the Mag D2 v4 in a 350z?

Anything from 0.8 ft^3 to 1 ft^3 sealed. Stuff either enclosure loosely with polyfill and you'll be good-to-go. Also, if you can get it, lining the interior walls of the enclosure with fiberglass insulation (the pink panther kind) helps out a bunch.
