SQ, SPL enclosure help

Im thinkin about buildin a new box for 2 12" AWC12T audiobahn subs, i wanna build a 30/70 sq/spl enclsore that will be placed in a grand cherokee.. what do you guys think would be the right amount of space for each sub and what should i tune the port at???

low tuning like 28hz and lower is SQ.

35hz and up is more SPL

So if i want more SPL should i tune it more to like 40hz? Or will that make the systems have to much port noise?

40 is SPL. port noise is from bad building

Right now I have a sealed box for 2 kicker s12l7's. I want a box thats gona be louder then the sealed now but still have sound quality. A box tuned around 32 hz would be good for sound quality and spl and still be louder then any sealed box right?

yep. Ported owns sealed for loudness. 32hz is a mix of SQ/SPL

26hz is SQ enclosure so more like 75/25 or 80/20.

SQ is opinionated.

Low tuning generally gives you a flatter response with a loss of SPL...

Thanx for stealin my thread, nah im jokin, but yeah thanx for everybody who gave me some feedback... i was just wondering, becuz right now i have more of a 60/40 ratio with my box i built, but i want to build another box for a rainy day whenever a show comes along here in Sacramento, but anyways i want to make a box that will be completey spl so i can get my numbers up preaty high when im givin the ol' decible reader a workout...

35hz will be great for what your looking for
