SQ different between running 1, 2, 4 ohms?

I've been trying to determine the SQ difference between separate ohms

Anyone have any experience with this (Running the same amount of wattage at higher ohm to produce better quality sound)

is lower ohm just most efficient either way or is it better to run at a higher ohm?

honestly... i dont think your question really has a right answer...

sq doesnt require higher wattage, like spl does... and if your going with a straight up sq setup, i think its more about the equipment you run, than what impendance you run them at.

but... i would think, going with a pure sq set up... 4 ohms would be your best bet

When it comes to SQ, its the first few watts that makes all of the difference.

Keep in mind that with most amps, the lower the ohm load, the lower the damping factor and vice versa.

as was said that there is no real right answer to your question. most aftermarket car audio systems have an unbalanced sound, usually having the lower frequencies 6+ dbs louder than higher frequencies. most ppl that view cars that have good "sq" have even more unbalance setups, either loud high end and low end or just really bright tweeters. sound quality is actually having all frequencies respond equally, this is heavily weighed on sound processors such as EQs. final impedances doesn't change how a speaker responds to a particular frequency. so in order for you to get an answer you need to explain your definition of sound quality. most ppl that speak of "sq" don't realize that true "sq" is having every frequency respond with an equal loudness.

SQ is too opinionated to have a true answer to this question

but it does stand as fact that the lower the Impedance the more distortion.

That is a fact of car audio components in existance today

What type of amplifier are you trying to use? Class d, ab, etc
