SQ and rap?

Anything can have good SQ. All SQ means is accurate reproduction. A recording of a dog farting can have good SQ. That doesn't mean anything.

The point, from what I understand, is that SQ is not a focus with rap, and that most rap listeners do not focus on SQ. That is because they get their enjoyment from other aspects of the music, such as the lyrics and beat, rather than the pitch and timbre of the sound that is the focus of classical music.

1. Any recorded sound can have good SQ.

2. Different types of music emphasize different aspects of a sound system.

3. Rap tends not to emphasize the SQ aspect of a sound system.

That's all there is to it.

just stop your car somewhere and play some rap, but mute out everything but your subs, then stick in some rock, metal, techno, anything you have really, and then comapre different types of music, then tell me which one you think " takes a better substage to reproduce." thats what a sq setup does plays every type of music and keeps upwith double bass high and low and slams lows on any rap song. I have good luck with trunk cars tuning to about 35-37 with average 12's and 34-36 for a 15, they all were really flat, and I have only been able hit about 144 on 2000w in my life so im not a real expert but i try to help and learn with every box you just need to find out what you want it to sound like and you can do it most the time with a good box.
