SQ - Amp and speakers alike

There is very little differernce in SQ between amps. Speakers, OTOH, have a huge variation in SQ.

Amp quality has more to do with reliability, durability and ability (or inability) to perform upto what the advertized specs are. Unless you dealing with the bottom of the barrel amps (Boss) then SQ of an amp is not really an issue.

It also depends on what you're using on the amp. If the amp is a pure gain device, has a solid and flat frequency response from 20hz-20khz and plenty of power, then you're going to be $10k richer if you can notice a difference in amp quality. But, if you're using crossovers on the amp and other features they may have, then yea, you might notice a difference in sound. With amps, the main thing to focus on is ACTUAL output of the amp, build quality, footprint, and price tag.

But really, I'm out of my head. Am I alive or am I dead?

Looks to be fine to me, as long as your Type R is a dual 2 ohm. As for the amp SQ, that subject is a big can of worms. In short, there might be differences from using one amp to another, but none are the reason for any claimed differences in 'SQ' of an amp. Its typically more of a factor of differences in processing features settings (xover, gain, etc). And measurable differences in specs like distortion and s/n ratio are typically below audible differences to your ears.
