Ok, got a message from one of the guys here on the forum, i opened it and it said "check this out" The word "out" was a link. I clicked it and it came to an open, save, cancle, blah blah blah. I hit cancel and my computer went crazy. It IM'd like 50 some ppl and now i keep on getting all these ****ing pop ups and shit. What can i do to get ride of this crap!!!!! Freaken pissing me off!!!!

If you get an im from me like that, just close it. Sorry if it inconvenist anyone....

im not using ms adware... b/c... well... i don't have a legit copy of windows.

"try to click dont validate now but take me to download" button, see if that works for you.

But mine wont work (ms-antispyware) everytime it starts the search for known folders, it freezes and locks the computer up.

Got everything taken care of. Let dad at it, he knows more when it comes to computers then i do. Thanks for the advise though guys....

As a test, have you installed MS Anti-spyware, and then installed to Adaware? My point being that they all miss stuff, and the only way to be truly *clean* is to run mulitple software.

It was sent to me by a girl i rarely talk to, so i was like WTF is this shit. I scrolled over the link and it had some weird *** addy, so i was like "screw that" and closed the IM window.

D*mn good thing i did!!!

u dont need a valid copy of windows. just pick the box that says do not check my shiznat at this time.

I like microsoft's anti-spyware. it works very well. Picked up 5 pieces of spyware i had on my machine and i hadnt been using any anti-spyware for like 4 months

No actually if you go there you can click "not to vailidate windows" trust me Ive done this to about EVERYONE who comes into circuit city with spyware
