The way to do it is use compressed air - a buddy of mine built a handheld cannon that fed off a portable "pancake" compressor to get an 80-100psi charge...there was simply an electric solenoid valve that tripped and fired a tennis ball out the barrel. Made an excellent launcher for getting antenna wires up in trees...and relatively safe because nothing flammable was used.

Definitely use an electric valve ... manual ones ****.

I'll have to take a picture of mine - the portable version, yet still goes a long way.

Propane propane ... gonna light the flame ... propane propane.

My little concoction. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Good for launching potatos and limes a good 200 yards or so. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

The one problem with PVC is that it splinters violently when overpressurized...don't ask me how I know this.

There has to be a better material that's safer under high pressures //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

ABS plastic, maybe?
