Umm, I would suspect heating is a lot easier than cooling. Think about the MREs, been heating meals since waaaaaaay back in the day. That coffee thing is nothing new, its the same thing just put inside a cup. But when is the last time you saw something cool itself without something else doing it?

ove blasted my hand with some air from one of those reaaally close and i swear it froze my flesh or something.. it left a redmark for a week or so and it burned really bad for a few days

You could use a compressed gas, but the container would have to be pretty strong... Probably wouldn't be economical... or ... all... that... safe. But I would think it should work.

If they could keep it from exploding, and the compressed gas/liquid out of my soda, id drink it. They dam sure wouldnt be using plastic though.

Well, if you used a substance with low enough boiling point, it would boil off which would take enough heat with it to do the job.... and if it wasn't toxic, much like CO2 it wouldn't be a problem.

Too bad I don't know my shit enough at this point, or I could probably spout off a list.

It's a neat concept, but until there's more technical data about how it's done, I won't put that shit anywhere near my body.
