spring sound in hx2

Got a set of hx2 from friend that works at local pawn shop. I havent put a amp to them yet, but when I tap the cone of the speaker with my hand there is a sound that sounds like a loose spring inside the speaker bouncing around. The other speaker doesnt do it. Can anyone tell me what that sounds like.

It needs a recone.

needs to be repaired, iirc someone mentioned that the recone kits are still available for these. its been a while since i read the thread though.

You can find recone kits for these all day long on ebay.

Or send it off to someone to do it.
