I recently bought Spotify Premium (99 cents for 3 months) and listen to it primarily when I go on drives of an hour or more. I noticed that the mids and tweets are significantly louder than anything I normally play on my iPod. I checked and all the Software EQs are off/neutral so it doesn't make any sense. Does anyone know if Spotify boosts music on their end? I was going to up the power of my CDTs from 120 to 160 and was wanting to make sure Spotify wasn't going to cause them to blow because they boosted the hell out of it.
I am using the highest sample rate possible through Spotify as well.
