i need some help. i want one 15 in sealed enclosure and two 12's ported. i was wondering what subs would have the highest spl in those boxes.Thinking about joining comps also. I want it so that i wont be able to sit in the car when the bass is pumpin'. As funny as that sounds.

Why would you want 2 different sized subs in the car?

Why not just get 2 15's or 2 18's and port them?

2 12's in ported hit hard and the 1 15 in sealed handles the lower end

id just go with the two 15s, in a low ported box

ya i am not sure if u would like the end result of the setup...... if u stay with 2 differant sizes

doesnt really work like that homie...if you want low end bass extension, but want to hit loud on a mic, get two 15s, tuned around 30 htz, (you can do a removeable port to tune it higher if you really want to) and just send plenty of power to it...that will give you the best of both worlds as far as what your lookin for

True, swapping ports is probably the best idea. Using different sized subs is only going to mess up the SQ.
