spl splw-12

the sales specs are interesting - specifically the 4" vc and the price, but I looked up the t/s data and winisd pro couldn't come up with an enclosure that produced a decent graph. Not sure what that means in a car, but it looks like it might be pretty loud 30-40 and not much else.

FWIW - in the same price range -- I recently installed an opti1232d, 2.7 @ 28 and for $150 I doubt I'll find anything much better.

i have a buddy that has used the 15" version of the SPLW. if you can get them for $100 new... they might be worth it IMO. we tried them in 6cf tuned to 30hz, then built a 8cf tuned to 36hz enclosure... both of them were not as loud as 2 12" type R's in the same 6cf tuned to 30hz enclosure (with an additional baffle to hold 2 12"s instead of 2 15"s). on the same amp. If anything, get type R's instead of the SPLW's.

If your not just huge into car audio and are looking for some sound go for it. I used to own the 15 and it was descent for me back then. If you look around a little harded tho you should be able to find something a little better

Thanks guys, I was just bored and looking into these since they handle around 1000 rms and it is in the same price range as the Pioneer W3001 d4(1000 rms ).

What I am really looking for are subs that can take 1000 rms on a daily basis and cost around 120-150 each.
