spl ported vs regular slot port?????

if using a slot port, no....a 12x5 port will need 5 inch clearance from the back wall to the where the port ends and the 12x6 will need a 6 inch clearance from the back wall...make sense? so it will be 12x5 or 11x6 given the box is 17.75 inches deep...i think:p:
72sqin port is going to have to be longer than the 60sqin port to keep the same tuning, not just an extra inch away from the back wall.

... get a dmm and set gains right. theyre what 15$ at radioshack?
dose it let you set the amp to put out a certain amount that you choose or dose it set it at max

What size box do you have the 15s in now? and what is your amp rated at? is that 700wrms TOTAL (350 each) you are giving the subs? They can take about 700wrms each...i had my two cvr's wired to 1ohm giving both roughly 750wrms each and beat like a champ...would get a little stinky if i wanged em for too long.
here's a basic design for the 2 15s...

thanks that was what i was gona go with (i kept adding port length(thats why i made this thread)couldnt get it right //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

and ther splitting 700 or less rms is a guess(i made a estamite of of one of ther other amps rating the 4500d mine is 4000)

the 4500 class d dose 750 watts at 4ohms 14.4 volts

theres no specs for mine at 4 ohms . mine is a class ab

here are the two spec sheets

1st from mine.. http://www.quantumaudio.net/cozmikamp_4000d.htm

2nd there class d for reference .. http://www.quantumaudio.net/cozmikamp_4500d.htm

should be a big diff before of after i blow them up(i opened my trunk look a took at how they her playing currently and tossed that idea(maybe with a diff amp)//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rotflol.gif.b453361716769b8110ddefc85ff03cd2.gif funny to me (i would drop the gain but that is stll pushing it if its set to high(and if its to low it wil be worthless

i dont have a meter seter thingy either(dmm)watever
im pretty sure theres a gain knob on the amp, and a volume knob on the head unit
