spl ported vs regular slot port?????

ok thats a spl ported box yes

if both boxes were tuned to same with same specs whats the diff

with out the L part of the port in a daily setup vs with

whats the difference

why is the 2nd part needed if so

im trying to design a setup for my car but my air space keeps getting in the way

i want a loud daily setup of course

that box is NOT an spl box.

spl boxes are small and tuned to a specific frequency usually corresponding to a specific vehicle to burp a big number

Yeah I'm unsure of what you mean by "SPL port"... you mean slot port?

Oh, I think I see.

The second part of the L is simply for tuning if your P1 port length cannot reach what you need for the desired tuning frequency.

is it just so you can gain more port area???

no, it determines what frequency your box is tuned to...you also need the proper amount of port area...

put it this way...if your box is only 15 inches wide and your port needs to be 20 inches long in order to tune to 32 hz...you need that L shape to make your port 20 inches to get the tuning you want...simple really man

Port area is simply the height of the port times the width of the port. It has nothing to do with how long the port is.

i tried the 12 volt calculator for areos but could get the number to fit with my design so i stuck to the re calculator

im play a bit more with the 12volts on slotted
