I agree... SPL is fun... Do wish I had a little more SQ though..

Right now I have a L7 which is pretty much strictly SPL, but next summer I think im gonna get a XXX for SQL..

I really want SQL now that I think about it..

pure SQ... that doens't have a problem getting over 120dB w/o any audible distortion... Who needs 150dB at the low end with moderate quality... when you can have a solid 130dB of the cleanest bass ever for the same price or less... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Granted both is the way to go //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif :up2somet:

Granted I still need to deaden things (no time)

The few rattles in the doors and in the trunk = distractions from the nearly flawless music //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I honestly prefer SQ... but life isn't fun without SPL //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If I wasn't so dam competitive, SPL wouldn't be such a big deal. SQ competition just isn't quite the same.

SQL I guess, Then again for most of the time I have my sub so low that no one knows that I even have one, It is the low end extension I Like..

For some song showever I enjoy giving the sub a little more juice to get it bumping.

So 99% of the time SQ

Pure SQ at 120dB [full range] may be also called SQL. SQL is an assumption that

some SQ is sacrified to gain SPL, but it doesn't have to be that way.

For example, I'm working on a SQL home audio system and I use the term

SQL to imply some sacrifice but there won't be any //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

I love the people who say they are only going for "sq" but have 2 15's or something rediculous like that. Theres more to sound quality than it being clean. ALOT more. All systems, sq and spl need to be clean, its more of the timbre and accuracy thats important.

That being said this thread is pointless.

Yup... when you do a 145 with 2 18's @50+hz, you magically become SQ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

I don't think that is directed to anyone specifically... but I'm sure its happened //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

One other major beef I have is with people who get SQ woofs (things like the XXX, W7) and do a horrid install that sounds terrible and doesn't get loud... but still think it sounds great because they have "SQ" woofers.
