Spl Ml12w?

I'm lookin' around for some subs, and these look ok, and they're cheap, I don't want to spend too much on this build, as it's for my weekend/muddin' truck. I can get 2 for about $160, is that a good price? Also, has anyone had expirence with these or any of the other SPL brand subwoofers?

Bump, and what about the Crunch "Ground Pounder" GP12D4? I can get both for about the same price with Crunch being a lil' more expensive. I haven't heard anything bad about these Crunch subs, so would it be better to go with the Crunch or the SPL?

Ok, where to start...

I guess I should mention that the first subs I ever owned were SPL ELF 15's. They were decently loud but left a LOT to be desired in every other way. Considering the brand itself I would not buy those.

Crunch is a totally different story. You don't "not consider buying" Crunch woofers, you just don't buy them. Period. They are a waste of good magnet and copper in my own opinion.

If you want loud on a budget, check out Mach 5 Audio at http://www.mach5audio.com. They are by far better woofers than what you have mentioned and should cost less money as well.

So, have you bought/heard/owned the ground pounder series subs? I have heard complete different suggestions on them, and that I should buy them.
