Termlabs are alil pricey and I dont have a laptop... so prolly a audiocontrol.

Well like I said ive got 400 bucks basicly.
If you spent 680 on it shipped for it new. And im looking for a used one I dont think 400 bucks is that bad of a price to offer for a USED TL then.

500-550 is the going rate for a used TL. Wait until after finals, DBdrag and USAC...the market will be flooded with used TL's

Funny that statment maybe true for you... for me totally false. I have easily been to over 20 shows (last yr) and never once used a TL. They ONLY had a AC mic, and these were shows that had IASCA judges doing this not like some random people with a mic.

iasca is imo a sq/car show...

dbdrag, meca nspl, and usac are in a completely different category

I would have said the ac mics are more than the TL but i assumed you knew since you first stated you were looking for used

The AC is the meter for IASCA...where as the TL is the official meter for USACi DBdrag, and MECA...Plus its alot more accurate.

... Not trying to be an ***... im normally alllll about talking on here but please stay on topic cause this money will burn a hole in my pocket soon so I want to find someone soon. BUT to answer your question I just go to whatever is in NY state. If there was a dbdrag or iasca or w.e ill go. A comp is a comp to me as long as I can do SPL.

Ok...basically here is the deal.

Get the TL its the most accurate and its the cheaper of the two. The only thing with the TL is that if you are competing in USACi there is talk that Ralph (USACi director) is researching getting a new Official USACi meter made that rivals the TL, becuase frankly USACi is tired of supporting another Soundoff organization by buying their meter. (for those that dont know, the people that own DBdrag own the rights to the Term lab)

To spend that much cash...do like I said wait until after finals, that will be your best bet.

I don't...no cash+hotel+gas+party+200 or so in registration fees=bankrupcy. Ill be there next year in SB1 though.
