Spl Comps?

Theres a bunch of different classes - I'm not really too up to date on them. The measure SPL comps by how loud you are(db's)

The man to talk to on this one is Loyd aka bigbassman - I'm sure he would be glad to help you out.

Oh, SPL subs - http://www.shockeraudio.com, Inhumans, etc...try searching for "SPL Subs" or something along those lines. I would still get int touch with Loyd.

You want a dedicated SPL sub if your going to compete and do nothing but that.

Do want to drive this vehicle daily? Or have it just set up for competitions? Do not try and play music through an SPL comp system....

http://www.shockeraudio.com There, that one works.

How many cubic feet do you have for an enclosure? Price range?

They measure db's with a microphone - theres a bunch of different mic's, most are placed on your winsheild.

No, you can have a "nothing but loud budgeted daily driver" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Kicker L5's or L7's...they would be decent. I'm sure you can spend less and get more boom though. No the ohm wont effect sound quality(dont even worry about such a thing for SPL)

The trunk is all metter? Whats "metter"?

Yes, you can fix rattling with sound deadening material(damping sheets).

Ohhhh all metal , ok I get ya - yeah, sound deadening will fix the rattling and flexing of your truck panels...may take a couple layers.

In my opinion, the L7's would be louder in a nice big ported box with lots of power //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Dont worry about asking questions - were all learning //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

usually the higher the number, the louder it is with the given watts. in this case, the kicker is the louder sub with the same watts.

Yes, a sealed box will sound cleaner. I thought all you wanted was SPL, and a system that could be able to compete?

Have you looked at the Brahma, XXX/SE yet?
