Spl Comps?

depends on the sub. subs like the audiobahn are pretty much overrated. you'll be seeing a whole lot less than 96.4db.

well then whats your sugestion i was reading a reviewfor thoe spl rf's and a couple of people said that the audiobahn aw's were better the kickers are hella nice but there made for a ported box so i dont know if i can fit the 15's in my trunk maybe the 12's but if i did that id go 2 jbl amps 1200 at 2 ohms so like 1400 at 1ohm and yes its 1ohm stable and i dont think kicker l7 12's can handel that much power and the adire bahramas are 350 off there site does anybody else sell them i cant find them on e-bay or on the regular shop sites

i'm not going to recommend any subs since i don't know SPL as much as the other guys (only the obvious choices). but i can say between the kicker and the audiobahn that the kicker will be louder given the same power and both in optimal boxes.

the JBL will make the same power at 1 and 2ohm. most are benched around 1300watts RMS. the only difference is that the amp will draw more current at 1ohm than 2ohm. the kicker should handle that much power for burps, as so can the audiobahn. but since you're going to use the amp, why not go with kicker and have higher SPL (equal install..the kicker's efficiency will top the audiobahn.

how much space do you have to work with? audiobahn and kicker subs require big boxes to truely perform. is space is a problem, move down to 12". how much can you spend on subs?

Those are nice. They sound pretty good, and they get really loud. RE XXX - http://www.respl.com

You seem to be hooked on Kicker or Audiobahn - well not really hooked, but you know - did you local shop try and talk you into these? Just interested...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Naw im not hooked on them at all I just like kicker square design and audibahns are cheap the thing about brahams is that i can get rf competition ones (forgot model $700) for the same price and they handel 2000 watts and proven at competitions but people have said there were better subs for spl comps pluse i dont really know how to wire a second altenator and i have a car not a suv and to get the rf up to there rms i would need 4 amps and 4600 watts of power total..............thats a lot i mean but hey if u guys say go for it ill go for it

i'm assuming you're talking about the Power HX2 from RF. the Lightning audio Storm sub is basically the same sub (cost about the same if not less), but are louder and sounds a tad better. 8 Storms with 8000 watts RMS total (1000 per sub) hitted 166db. not too bad with only 8000watts RMS.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
