spl build or low box

Daily? Make a daily box with daily tuning for daily listening.

make a removable port/port plug to change tuning when you want daily or high freq.

you could always go right in the middle and go with like 35hz, many woofers still do great not tuned below 30hz, and will still get decently low.

Definitely tune it for daily if it is a daily driver.

My box is tuned to 35hz for my SoundQubed HDS3 12s. 30hz is nasty and 25hz still has significant output but I don't like to go much below 30hz. And since I'm tuned to 35hz, the 40hz and 45hz notes hit you right in the throat with force. I love being able to play both highs and lows but that is because the music I listen to contains both highs and lows. So I guess you should also think about what kind of music you mainly listen to on a daily basis and figure out the average hz of those songs then go from there.

x2. I have a few different boxes I run, every now and then I'll feel like changing it up. You'll learn how your sub reacts to size/tuning/port changes and eventually you'll find what works best. I must've built 6 or 7 different boxes for my old zvx-8 before finding what worked the best. Real world experience will teach you what the box programs can't. BTW, I'd tune to 32-33hz for daily.

This. Sp4 15, daily tuning is 29. Spl is 45 with a grip of port area. Interchangeable octoports.

After doing a box like that for a local guys like Platform 3 18", I decided to go with that look on a box I made for my old zvx-8. I have custom camo seat covers and was going to cover the panel the sub was on with matching material, but never got around to it.
