I DL'd 2 spl app but neither one went over 100 db anyone know one I could dl free or cheap that goes to 240?

Nope those apps thats all they go aswell as thats all a phones mic will read. Tried every free one out there same results

lol I don't even think that is 220 db, I have been looking for a mic for my gopro and it has been tough to find one that will take 160db at a decent price, I would like to make some videos with clean sound without all the bass drowning out the rest of the video, was looking at rode mics and others..... dang pricy for just a mic.

audio technica has some mics that could pick up low frequencies fairly well.

However at that price, you can get a term lab/spl lab or SSA's new meter.

yes but i want to record video with it. i guess as long as it's a 3.5mm jack it should work
